All the small thingsPosted: February 26, 2012
I go CRAZY for miniature things and I am pretty sure I am not alone. So I have recently indulged this love for all things small by acquiring a selection of miniature knives and penknives that can now be purchased in store.
These are miniature 1930-40’s flip penknives, which are designed with a loop at the top of the handle to enable you to attach them to your keys.
This is something really special. Made at the turn of the century, it is a flip fruit knife made of sterling silver with a mother of pearl handle.
Theses are rare 1930’s miniature penknives equipped with a toothpick, knife, nail file, hook to help you with your laces and a small spoon used specifically for the consumption of cocaine. Cocaine wasn’t made illegal in the USA till the 1970’s, so these would not have risen eyebrows in the same way Kathryn Merteul’s 90’s, gothic, hollowed out, crucifix did.

No, these have a lot more subtly, class and beauty.
