The time has come for me to say farewell to Threads.
From 1st April 2014 Vintage Threads Peckham will be under new management.
It has been a wonderful few years and I will be sad to say goodbye but the time has come for a change. I am incredibly grateful for all the support Threads has received and hope this will continue for the businesses new owner, Jemima Beulah, owner of JHBeulah Eco Couture. She is a local sustainable fashion designer and tailor, specialising in vintage. Threads could not be in better hands and you will see exciting new additions to the business during the course of her first year.
From now until the hand over on April 1st, Threads will be having a SALE….

For those of you who don’t know I have embarked on a new venture, Koro Kimono, with my wonderful and super fit friend Sophie Hart-Walsh….
Koro Kimono is a new clothing line which is designed and created by us. Our site, http://www.korokimono.com, will be up and running by the end of next week, till then you can find out more about us, how our business works and even purchases one of our pieces here.

The BIG NEWS for Threads is….the back room has now be converted into a Koro studio. This means you will not only be able to purchase a Koro Kimono from Threads but you will be able to see and touch the fabrics we have ready for commissions and of course watch me slaving away over my machine.
This doesn’t mean there are any fewer vintage treasures for you. I have simply re-arranged everything into the front of the shop.
Its a win win situation.

If you think you can then let me explain why every man needs a Hawaiian shirt in his wardrobe.
Firstly, spring has FINALLY arrived and if you are an English male you are soon going to get the overwhelming desire to take your shirt off while walking down Rye Lane drinking a Red Stripe, even though it still hasn’t got much hotter than a Spanish winter. But the Hawaiian shirt offers you an alternative, by wearing one you can embrace the on coming summer without having the make a total twat of yourself.
